So it was up to the South East to host their Regional Final at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton. Many people came out in droves to support the young people as they got up on stage and spoke their own written words for all to see. They had worked so hard over many months to get to this point and it was so worth it.

They commanded the stage with their confidence, honesty, raw talent and poetry. They were shown so much love and support by the crowd and the atmosphere was buzzing with energy and anticipation, the audience were not disappointed at all!

The five school teams consisted of…

– Forest Education Centre
– Redbridge Community Centre
– Samuel Cody Specialist Sports College
– Harrow Way Community School
– Quilley School of Engineering

While all the teams performed their words with such raw honesty and confidence, the highest scoring team award was given to the Samuel Cody Specialist Sports College who will go on to represent the South East region at the National Shake the Dust Final in London.
